Basic information
Corresponding grade: The international general grade corresponding to AMS4911 titanium plate is Ti-6Al-4V, and the Chinese national standard grade is TC4, which belongs to α+β type titanium alloy.

Implementation standard: SAE AMS4911S-2024 is its latest implementation standard, which was released by the American Society of Automotive Engineers on August 1, 2024.

Chemical composition
Main components: titanium (Ti) balance, aluminum (Al) content between 5.5%-6.75%, vanadium (V) content between 3.5%-4.5%.

Impurity elements: nitrogen (N) ≤0.05, carbon (C) ≤0.08, hydrogen (H) ≤0.015, iron (Fe) ≤0.30, oxygen (O) ≤0.20.



Performance characteristics
Physical properties: The density is 4.51g/cm³, which has the characteristics of low density and light texture. Compared with metal materials such as steel, it can effectively reduce the dead weight of the structure.

Mechanical properties: Tensile strength σb ≥ 925Mpa, yield strength σb ≥ 870Mpa, elongation δ ≥ 10%, with high strength and good toughness, can withstand large external forces and deformation.

Chemical properties: It has excellent corrosion resistance, and shows extremely strong corrosion resistance in both neutral and oxidizing media. It is completely non-corrosive in seawater and has strong corrosion resistance in most organic acids. In addition, it also has certain high temperature resistance. When the short-term use temperature is ≤ 350℃, the strength retention rate is > 80%.

Processing technology
Hot processing: Hot processing such as forging and rolling can be carried out. By heating, the titanium plate is in a plastic state, which is convenient for processing into products of various shapes and sizes.

Cold processing: For example, processes such as cold rolling and cold drawing can improve the surface quality and dimensional accuracy of titanium plates and improve their mechanical properties.

Welding processing: Common welding methods include argon arc welding, laser welding, etc. The weld needs to be protected during welding to prevent oxidation and weld embrittlement. Argon purity is usually required to be ≥99.999%.
